Summary
In the Qatar International Court case dated 24 November 2022, Bank Audi LLC (BAQ) claimed against five defendants, including Mr. Fahad Hussain Ibrahim Al Fardan. Mr. Al Fardan counterclaimed damages for a USD 20 million investment made in a Lebanese bank in December 2016. His applications for additional document disclosure and hearing adjournment were rejected. However, his requests to amend his counterclaim and introduce a second witness statement were granted. The court ruled that the third defendant's counterclaim failed, and he must pay BAQ's costs. The judgment primarily concerned the breach of contract and negligent misstatement claims.
