Summary
The Qatar International Court dismissed Al Qamra Facilities Management LLC’s plea that it lacked jurisdiction over Aegis Services LLC’s claim for QAR 6,800. Aegis alleges it helped Al Qamra obtain ISO Certification, but Al Qamra hasn't paid. The court found it had jurisdiction as the dispute was commercial and involved entities in and outside the Qatar Financial Centre. The court directed both parties to submit witness statements and documents within 14 days to resolve the factual dispute about whether Aegis fulfilled its contractual obligations. Aegis can recover reasonable costs for opposing the jurisdiction plea.
