Summary
In a judgment dated 4 July 2023, the Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court's Appellate Division refused Doha Insulation Trading & Contracting LLC permission to appeal a decision favoring Aegis Services LLC. The initial judgment awarded Aegis QAR 7,000 plus costs for assisting Doha Insulation in obtaining ISO Certification. Doha Insulation argued that the contract was unauthorized and that they were unaware of the claim and cheque. However, the court found that the manager, Mr. Khaled Samir, had ostensible authority to act on behalf of Doha Insulation, thus binding the company to the contract.
