Summary
In the case between Fat Cat Café LLC (Claimant) and AHK Enterprise LLC (Respondent), the Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court's Appellate Division, led by Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Justice Ali Malek KC, and Justice Dr. Muna Al-Marzouqi, refused the Claimant’s permission to appeal a prior judgment. The initial court ruled that AHK was entitled to QAR 37,500 from the Claimant under a contract for kiosk rental during the FIFA World Cup 2022. The Claimant argued AHK delayed providing the kiosk, but the court found no breach of contract as the kiosk was provided on time. The Appellate Division upheld this decision, requiring the Claimant to pay AHK's costs.
