Summary
The Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court Appellate Division refused Kofler Group Middle East LLC's request for permission to appeal a judgment favoring Klaas Bouwman. Bouwman had sued for unpaid salary, transport expenses, annual leave payment, and compensation for accommodation. The First Instance Circuit awarded him QAR 4,349 and €3,200 but dismissed his other claims. Kofler's appeal cited procedural and evidentiary issues, but the Court found no risk of serious injustice and upheld the original decision. Kofler must pay Bouwman's costs on an indemnity basis.
