In a judgment dated December 7, 2022, the Qatar International Court ruled in favor of Dalba Engineering & Projects Co Limited against Marilon QFZ LLC. Dalba, a Brazilian company, claimed Marilon, a Qatar Free Zone company, failed to deliver bitumen worth USD 400,000 despite receiving a USD 200,000 advance payment. Marilon neither delivered the goods nor refunded the money. The court ordered Marilon to pay Dalba USD 200,000, with costs to be assessed by the Registrar.
