Summary
The Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court issued a judgment ordering Jean-Marc Mantegani, a former senior manager at Horizon Crescent Wealth LLC, to pay a financial penalty of QAR 1,092,606 plus 5% annual interest to the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority. Mantegani had been found in violation of regulatory requirements and his appeal was dismissed. Failing to pay the penalty, the Regulatory Authority filed a debt application which Mantegani did not contest. The court concluded he had no prospect of successfully opposing the claim, thus granting the summary judgment in favor of the Regulatory Authority.
