Summary
In a judgment by the Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court, the claim against Al Fardan Group was dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction. The court ruled that Aliz Technologies QFZ LLC must pay the claimant, Mr. Tahar Rais, QAR 44,000 plus 5% interest per annum from the judgment date and reasonable costs incurred. Rais, a Tunisian citizen, had his employment contract with Aliz Technologies wrongfully terminated, causing him significant personal and financial disruption. The court found sufficient grounds to grant his claim based on the terms of the employment contract and relevant Qatari labor laws.
