Through its supervisory arbitrational jurisdiction under Law No 2 of 2017 issuing the Arbitration Law in Civil and Commercial Matters, parties can elect the QICDRC as the “Competent Court” of arbitration to perform various functions in relation to interim measures, enforcement of awards and appeals.

Summary
In a case before the Qatar Financial Centre Civil and Commercial Court, the Applicant, Rudolfs Veiss, was granted permission to proceed with an application for summary judgment against Prime Financial Solutions LLC (PFS). Veiss, previously under a Litigation Restraint Order, sought indemnity from PFS for costs incurred in regulatory proceedings where he was found lacking integrity but not fraud or dishonesty.
